Privacy Policy

How iFindRefunds handles website, inquiry, and client-service information.

About this policy

iFindRefunds (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit our website, contact us, request a tax preparation quote, join our waitlist, or use an online form associated with our services.

The information collected depends on how you interact with us. Separate client privacy notices, engagement terms, and tax-information authorizations also apply where required. Using the website does not replace a required taxpayer consent.

Information you provide

You may provide your name, email address, phone number, service interest, tax year, and details about your inquiry. When you become a client, intake forms may request the identification, income, expense, dependent, and financial records needed for your requested tax services.

Information entered into an email-based inquiry is used to open a draft in your email application. You must send the draft for us to receive it. When you submit an online form, its information is processed through the form service and any connected providers identified in the relevant intake or service notices.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank details, identification documents, or tax returns through a general inquiry or initial email. Use the document-sharing instructions provided for your client engagement.

Website information, cookies, and tracking

Hosting and sign-in services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, and access times. This information supports website delivery, access, troubleshooting, and security.

Our landing-page code does not add advertising pixels, analytics scripts, cookies, or browser storage for inquiry entries. Hosting, sign-in, and connected form services may use their own cookies or similar technology. Their notices describe those practices.

You can manage cookies in your browser. Restricting essential cookies may affect some services. Our landing-page code does not perform behavioral advertising or implement a separate response to browser Do Not Track signals.

How information is used

Information you provide supports the activity you request, including:

  • Answering questions and providing tax preparation quotes.
  • Managing requested waitlist updates and appointment coordination.
  • Preparing and administering your tax-service engagement.
  • Following up on missing records and tracking preparation progress.
  • Managing payments and maintaining required business or tax records.

A waitlist request does not reserve an appointment. A preparation quote is a fee estimate, not a guarantee of a tax refund or other result.

Email and text communications

If you email us, we receive your message, email address, ordinary email metadata, and any information you include. We use those details to respond and manage your request.

Quote requests and waitlist signups do not automatically enroll you in an unrelated newsletter or third-party promotion. Optional promotional email enrollment is separate. To stop waitlist or optional promotional messages, follow any unsubscribe instructions or email contact@ifindrefunds.net. Messages necessary for an active client engagement may still be sent.

Where you opt in to text messages, the signup explains the sender, purpose, and how to stop messages. Providing a phone number for general contact does not by itself authorize automated marketing texts. Mobile numbers and text-message consent records are not shared with third parties for their own marketing. Messaging providers may process the information needed to deliver messages.

Service providers and information sharing

Providers supporting website hosting, online forms, communications, document storage, tax services, or payments process information needed for their role in the service you use. Payment processors handle payment details under their own terms; transaction and payment-status information supports billing.

The landing-page inquiry code does not sell your entries or send them to advertising networks or data brokers. Information may be disclosed as necessary for your requested services, under an applicable authorization, or when permitted or required by law. Disclosure of tax return information is also subject to the separate protections described below.

Confidentiality of tax return information

Tax return information is subject to specific federal restrictions on its use and disclosure. Separate taxpayer consent may be required unless an applicable legal exception permits the use or disclosure.

A general inquiry, waitlist request, or acceptance of this website policy does not substitute for a required tax-information consent. The client intake process and applicable notices explain the information, providers, and authorizations associated with your engagement.

Security and record retention

No website, email service, or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Share only the information needed for your inquiry and use the designated client process for sensitive documents.

Retention depends on the purpose of the record, whether your request or engagement remains active, applicable legal and tax recordkeeping requirements, and any dispute or legal hold. Service providers may retain their own logs, messages, and backups under their policies. Contact us to ask about your records or request their removal.

Your privacy choices and requests

You can contact us by phone instead of using the inquiry form, and you can request correction of information or removal from the waitlist. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access, obtain a copy of, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of your information.

Email us with your request. We may need to verify your identity or authority before releasing or changing records. Do not send identification documents until instructions are provided. Applicable legal exceptions and retention requirements may limit deletion. Contact us if you wish to appeal a response to a privacy request.

Children’s information

This website is intended for adults seeking tax services and is not directed to children under 13. The public inquiry process is not designed to collect information directly from children. If a child has sent personal information, please contact us so it can be addressed. Dependent information needed for a parent or guardian’s tax engagement is handled through the separate client process.

Other services and visitors outside the United States

External links, email applications, hosting platforms, and other connected services have their own privacy policies. Review those notices when using their services or submitting information through them.

iFindRefunds provides U.S. tax-preparation services. Information sent from another country may be processed in the United States or other locations used by the relevant providers. Privacy rights and protections depend on the law that applies to your interaction.

Policy updates

Changes to this policy are posted on this page with an updated date. Additional notice or consent is provided when required by applicable law. A policy update does not itself authorize a new use or disclosure of tax return information.
